Terms Of Services

Last Updated: August 2025

Welcome to Tastori! These terms govern your use of our website and services. We’ve tried to keep the legal language as straightforward as possible while still covering all the important bases.

Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, creating an account, subscribing to our newsletter, or accessing any of our content, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you don’t agree with any part of these terms, please don’t use our services.

We may update these terms occasionally. When we make significant changes, we’ll notify our newsletter subscribers and post a notice on the website. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Use of Content

Our Recipes and Content: All recipes, articles, photos, meal plans, and other content on Tastori are protected by copyright. You’re welcome to use our recipes in your home kitchen, share them with friends and family, and even make them for bake sales or potluck dinners.

What You Can Do:

  • Cook our recipes for your family and friends
  • Print recipes for personal use
  • Share links to our content on social media
  • Reference our recipes in conversations or cooking classes (with attribution)
  • Adapt recipes for your family’s dietary needs and preferences

What You Can’t Do:

  • Republish our recipes on your own blog, website, or social media without permission
  • Copy our content for commercial use without a licensing agreement
  • Remove our branding or attribution from shared content
  • Claim our recipes as your own original creations

Special Permission: Food bloggers, cookbook authors, and media outlets can request permission to feature our recipes. Email partnerships@tastori.com with your specific request, and we’ll usually say yes with proper attribution requirements.

User Contributions

Comments and Feedback: We love when you share your experiences with our recipes! When you leave comments, reviews, or send us photos of your cooking adventures, you grant us permission to use that content in our marketing materials, social media, or future blog posts (always with attribution, of course).

Recipe Reviews and Modifications: When you share how you modified a recipe or review your results, you’re helping other families succeed in their kitchens. We may feature these contributions in recipe updates or related content.

Community Guidelines: We maintain a family-friendly, supportive community. Comments or contributions that are offensive, spam-like, or don’t align with our values may be removed. We’re pretty laid-back, but we do want to keep this a safe space for all families.

Account Terms

Creating an Account: To access certain features like saving recipes or receiving personalized recommendations, you’ll need to create an account. You’re responsible for keeping your account information current and your password secure.

Account Termination: You can delete your account at any time by emailing contact@tastori.com. We can also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, though we’d much rather work with you to resolve any issues.

Data Backup: While we work hard to keep your saved recipes and account information secure, we recommend keeping your own backup of any recipes or content that’s important to you.

Intellectual Property

Our Trademarks: “Tastori” and our logo are trademarks owned by us. You can’t use them in ways that might confuse people about who created content or services.

Your Content: When you share content with us (photos, recipe modifications, success stories), you retain ownership but grant us permission to use it in connection with our services. We’ll always give you credit when we feature your contributions.

Third-Party Content: Sometimes we reference other resources, link to external websites, or mention products. We respect others’ intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same.

Nutrition and Health Disclaimers

Educational Purpose: All content on Tastori is for educational and informational purposes only. We’re not providing medical advice, diagnosing conditions, or prescribing treatments.

Not Medical Advice: While Elissa is a Registered Dietitian and Michelle is a certified Pediatric Nutrition Coach, the general content we publish isn’t intended to replace personalized medical or nutritional advice from your healthcare providers.

Individual Results May Vary: Every child and family is different. Recipes that work wonderfully for one family might not work for another, and that’s completely normal. Trust your instincts about what works for your family.

Allergen Responsibility: While we clearly label common allergens in our recipes and provide substitution suggestions, you’re responsible for checking all ingredients for allergens that affect your family. When in doubt, consult with your healthcare provider.

Special Dietary Needs: If your child has specific medical conditions, feeding difficulties, or complex dietary requirements, please work with qualified healthcare professionals in addition to using our resources.

Food Safety and Preparation

Kitchen Safety: We assume you’ll follow standard food safety practices when preparing our recipes. This includes proper handwashing, safe food storage temperatures, appropriate cooking temperatures, and general kitchen safety measures.

Recipe Testing: While we test all our recipes thoroughly, cooking involves variables we can’t control (altitude, ingredient variations, equipment differences). Use your best judgment and adjust as needed for your specific situation.

Age-Appropriate Activities: Some of our recipes include suggestions for involving kids in cooking. Supervise children appropriately for their age and skill level, and use your judgment about which activities are safe for your specific children.

Limitation of Liability

Look, we do our best to provide accurate, helpful content, but we can’t guarantee perfect results every time. Here’s what that means legally:

No Warranties: We provide our content “as is” without warranties of any kind. We can’t promise that our recipes will work perfectly in every kitchen or that our advice will solve every feeding challenge.

Limited Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tastori, Michelle Hart, Elissa Normen, and Aria Chen aren’t liable for any damages that might result from using our website, following our recipes, or implementing our suggestions. This includes everything from burnt dinners to food allergic reactions to kitchen accidents.

Your Responsibility: You’re ultimately responsible for your family’s safety and wellbeing. Use our content as one resource among many, and trust your parental instincts above all else.

Exceptions: This limitation doesn’t apply where prohibited by law or in cases of gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing on our part.

External Links and Third-Party Services

Links to Other Sites: We sometimes link to products, resources, or other websites that we think might be helpful. These links don’t mean we endorse everything on those sites or are responsible for their content or practices.

Affiliate Relationships: Some links on our site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you purchase products through them. This doesn’t affect the price you pay, and we only recommend products we genuinely believe in. We’ll always disclose affiliate relationships clearly.

Third-Party Services: We use various third-party services to run our website and deliver our content. These services have their own terms and privacy policies that also apply to your use of our site.

Subscription and Payment Terms

Newsletter Subscription: Our newsletter is free, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us directly.

Paid Services: If we offer paid services or products in the future, additional terms will apply. Any payments will be processed through secure third-party payment processors.

Refund Policy: For any paid services, we’ll clearly state our refund policy at the time of purchase. We believe in making things right if you’re not satisfied.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Denver, Colorado.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms will remain in full effect.

Termination

You can stop using our services at any time. We can also terminate or suspend access to our services if these terms are violated, though we prefer to work with users to resolve issues when possible.

Even after termination, provisions related to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability will continue to apply.
