  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 large russet potatoes, diced into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet, and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. While the potatoes are roasting, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the steak bites in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook the steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  7. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter for another minute, ensuring they’re well-coated.
  8. Once the potatoes are crispy and golden, remove them from the oven. Serve the steak bites on a platter alongside the roasted potatoes, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra crispy potatoes, ensure they’re in a single layer on the baking sheet and flip halfway through cooking.
