- 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 2 large russet potatoes, diced into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet, and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the potatoes are roasting, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the steak bites in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter for another minute, ensuring they’re well-coated.
- Once the potatoes are crispy and golden, remove them from the oven. Serve the steak bites on a platter alongside the roasted potatoes, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra crispy potatoes, ensure they’re in a single layer on the baking sheet and flip halfway through cooking.
