Description
A creamy, sweet, and slightly boozy Southern dip featuring ripe peaches, toasted pecans, and a hint of bourbon. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or cozy nights in, this easy recipe comes together in minutes and is always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 medium fresh peaches, peeled and diced (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 3/4 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
- 2 tbsp bourbon
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
- 2 tbsp Greek yogurt (optional, for lighter/tangier version)
- Crushed graham crackers (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Peel and dice the peaches. If using frozen, thaw and drain thoroughly. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Toast pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned. Chop and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, honey, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
- Gently fold in diced peaches and bourbon. Mix just until combined; do not overmix.
- Add cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Reserve a few pecans for topping, then fold the rest into the dip.
- Transfer dip to a serving dish. Top with reserved pecans and optional crushed graham crackers. Drizzle with honey if desired.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor, or serve immediately.
Notes
For best texture, use room temperature cream cheese and gently fold in peaches to avoid a runny dip. Toasting pecans enhances flavor. Make ahead and chill for deeper flavor. Easily adapted for dairy-free or non-alcoholic versions. Serve with sturdy crackers, pretzel chips, or sliced apples.
