These easy ham and cheese sticks are a quick, kid-friendly snack made with pizza dough, deli ham, and shredded cheese. Perfect for after-school, parties, or lunchboxes, they bake up golden, melty, and irresistible.

- 1 sheet refrigerated pizza dough (about 13.8 oz)
- 8 slices deli ham, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or blend)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
- Grated parmesan (optional, for topping)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping, optional)
- Honey mustard or ranch (for dipping, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
- Unroll pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. If thick, roll to about 1/4 inch thickness, keeping it rectangular.
- In a mixing bowl, toss shredded cheese with garlic powder and Italian seasoning if using.
- Slice dough into 8 long strips (about 1.5 inches wide) using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Lay a slice of ham on each strip. Sprinkle seasoned cheese evenly over each ham slice.
- Roll each strip up tightly, pinching the seam to seal. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Brush each stick with melted butter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or parmesan if desired.
- Bake for 13–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is bubbling. Rotate the sheet halfway through for even browning.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For gluten-free, use gluten-free pizza dough. For dairy-free, use dairy-free cheese shreds. Don’t overfill to prevent cheese leaks. Seal seams tightly for best results. Sticks can be prepped ahead and refrigerated before baking. Serve with dipping sauces for extra fun.
