Description
This savory, crunchy snack mix combines pretzels, crackers, nuts, and cereal with a buttery, zesty seasoning blend. Perfect for parties, game nights, or family snacking, it’s endlessly customizable and always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- 3 cups mini pretzel twists
- 2 cups bite-size buttery crackers (like Ritz)
- 2 cups crisp corn cereal squares (Chex or similar)
- 1 cup roasted peanuts (unsalted or lightly salted)
- 1 cup roasted almonds
- 1 cup cheese crackers (Cheez-Its or similar)
- 1 cup sesame sticks (optional)
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine pretzel twists, buttery crackers, corn cereal squares, roasted peanuts, roasted almonds, cheese crackers, and sesame sticks. Stir gently to distribute evenly.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt unsalted butter (about 40 seconds). Whisk in Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, kosher salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the buttery seasoning mixture over the snack blend. Use a spatula to gently toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the snack mix into a single, even layer.
- Bake for 40 minutes, stirring every 10-12 minutes to ensure even toasting.
- Remove from oven and let the snack mix cool completely on the pan. It will crisp up as it cools.
- Transfer cooled mix into a serving bowl or airtight containers. Serve or store as desired.
Notes
Stir the mix every 10-12 minutes during baking for even crisping. Cool completely before storing to prevent sogginess. Customize with gluten-free or nut-free substitutions as needed. For extra sweetness, add chocolate chips or dried fruit after baking. Store in airtight containers for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer storage.
