Description

This creamy garlic butter beef pasta bake combines tender beef, pasta, and a rich creamy sauce, making it a comforting dish perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings. It’s incredibly easy to make and sure to please both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (lean recommended)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (120 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Additional mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, heavy cream, and softened cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the beef. Pour the creamy sauce over the mixture and stir well to combine.
  7. Pour the pasta and beef mixture into a greased 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese. If you want more cheesiness, sprinkle additional mozzarella on top!
  9. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lower-carb option, you can swap pasta for zucchini noodles or cauliflower. If you’re aiming for a vegetarian version, consider using lentils or mushrooms instead of beef.
